On 24 July 1999, a Air Fiji Bandeirante aircraft struck a mountain ridge approximately 70 kilometres north-west of the Fijian capital of Suva. The flight was en route from Suva to Nadi. 

The crew members and all 15 passengers, including six Australians, were killed in the crash. Due to the loss of Australians onboard, this disaster has been included in this dataset.
