On 14 February 2015, an Australian company recalled two of its products from supermarkets across six states and territories after two frozen berry products imported from overseas were linked with an outbreak of Hepatitis A. This recall was extended to another brand on 15 February. To date, only one brand of frozen berries has been epidemiologically related to 23 confirmed cases of Hepatitis A, while the others have been recalled as a precaution.
As of 18 March, Hepatitis cases have been recorded as:
- 12 in QLD
- 8 in NSW
- 3 in VIC
- 2 in WA
- 1 in ACT
- 1 in SA
