On 26 and 27 February 2015, 1200 delegates from schools throughout Queensland gathered for a conference in Brisbane.

254 of them contracted salmonella food poisoning, with 24 requiring hospitalisation once they returned home.

Queensland Health sent a questionnaire to those who were affected, in the hope of determining the cause of the salmonella.
