During the 1995 Christmas period in Adelaide, an outbreak of food poisoning occurred, predominantly affecting children. The E.coli bacteria were found in a smallgoods product.

One child died and 22 others experienced long term health problems as a result of ingesting these bacteria.

In 2011, after 16 years of illnesses, hospital treatments, coronial inquests and legal negotiations, all cases were finally settled.
