Tropical Cyclone Rewa formed east of the Solomon Islands on 31 December 1993. It circled in the Coral Sea for three weeks before intensifying and causing extensive damage and flash flooding in south-east Queensland on 20 January 1994.

In Brisbane 100 homes and 20 cars were damaged by water, and a total of four deaths were recorded.
